In the first days of spring, the pale pink to carmine-red buds of the ornamental apple tree appear. Flowers bloom a little later, in all shades from pure white to pink or red. Flowering doesn't last very long. Foliage then unfurls, a lovely dark green, sometimes purple in certain varieties.
It's a pleasure to visit public gardens and photograph a wide variety of flowers and trees. The colors are brilliant and the fragrance of the flowers is sublime. Just happiness.
